The Trout Lake BC Internet Society was established as a non-profit Internet Service Provider in September 2011. Our mandate is providing high-speed Internet to Trout Lake, Ferguson, Beaton, Galena Bay, Galena Shores, Whiskey Point, Shelter Bay, Hall's Landing, Cranberry Creek, Burnham Road, St. Leon and the Halcyon area along Highway #23. |

As a result of 'build it and they will come', TLBCIS has steadily grown its subscriber base well beyond predicted expectations.
Equipment and management software upgrades in 2017 and 2018 added to the stability and functionality of the Internet service, and in 2018, a 200MB TELUS fibre connection was installed increasing the bandwidth capabilities substantially. In 2020, major network upgrades took place providing new technology for Access Points and customer equipment (CPEs). In 2020, a 500MB TELUS upgrade was completed. As of October 2022, over one hundred and eighty subscribers, which includes thirteen businesses, have connected to the TLBCIS service. |
